1st episode on the Golf Channel will be Wednesday at 9 pm EST

This one is labeled as 'qualifying' which should show 'Regional' qualifying for spots to worlds along with interviews
I believe St Louis- Florida and Oklahoma Regionals are 3 that are showcased
Hoping it gives an idea of what guys go through to earn spots -
I for one am looking forward to it in hopes that it will answer a lot of questions people have and showcase the talent and hard work that goes into this - both competing and also running these events

Doc, you didn't miss the Callaway fitting segment? A simple wave of the wand and ..voila!...37 more yards!! His original 5.5* head had too much loft/too much spin. :o

Honestly- I feel great about the exposure we received and hope to get even more in the next few shows for the ANMKARA shafts!
'I ' focus most on the hitters as they are the ones that earn what they get -THEY ARE THE SHOW!
With the ANMKARA shafts- it gives me the opportunity to work with guys I have built for in the past and
I also get to work with hitters using other products and building for them along with those hitting Ares

I sure did and my first thought was why the original fitter hadn't adjusted the shaft.

Neil - I believe you built a number of clubs with Ares, Krank and Callaway heads. Did it take long to figure out how best to tip or not tip each particular brand?

Doc- pretty sure I did build almost everything out there - probably 90+% were with the new shafts
Anytime a new head and/or a new shaft comes out I believe adjustments need to be made - I refer to it as 'learning their personalities!'
I did have to make adjustments depending on heads- the adjustable callaways- I got help with from Mike Nelson with the LDA/Sellingers Power Golf and also feedback from Bobby Wilson to see how the ANMKARAS would play in them

Certain shafts do play different in different heads
also consider that every shaft manufacturer has different ratings on their shaft flex-cpm wise and so on
Trick is to learn on the fly and really pay attention to hitters feel - ballflight- etc and adjust from there
Just because some hit certain flexes before - doesnt mean the same shaft setup works in a different clubhead they may have to do a bit of altering in one way or another
A low spin head combined with a lowspin shaft just may be to much for some - might be to lowspin
With adjustable heads- I do not think the solution is JUST changing driver 'settings' - but adjusting both shaft and head
Again - this is what 'I' went by in Mesquite and it worked well - always learning!

Part 2 is on Golf Channel tonight at 9 pm EST
It is titled 'Elimination Rounds' so it will show the week of competition in Mesquite
Also hope it shows the older divisions- these are the people that have paved the way to keep it going!
There is an 'oldtimers dinner' out there and it is one of the highlights of being out there-
I think the farthest someone goes back in competing is 1972!
pro's used to compete in it also

I finally got to watch the first one yesterday and it was a pretty cool watch. I never really payed that much attention to long drive, but always enjoyed watching the competitions. It was cool to see the analysis of the "standard" long drive swing vs. normal golf swing. It's great to see the comradery between the competitors!

I thought Part 1 was a lot more interesting than Part 2.
