I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good way to start the year. The ferrule didn't melt!!!!

I put a washer and a screw into the end of the adapter so my hydraulic puller is pushing against it like I saw on Billybobs.
Next, I got a bag of frozen peas and held it on the ferrule, cupping my hand to keep the peas on as much of the ferrule as possible.
Then I put the paint scraper shield on the heat gun to keep heat away from the ferrule. I heated it on high for a minute or so, moving it around, stopped to let the heat soak in, did it again etc... and would crank the puller a bit. It took a while... maybe 10 minutes but it worked!! The peas kept the ferrule cool.

I took pics but I don't have photobucket or anything... just have them on my computer so I guess I can't post them here.
