My friend set up an Opti-shot in his business, so off to play 18 holes. Let it snow.

I havent tried the opti shot, thought about one in my basement. We play in a league at our club on a simulator, True Golf I think, It's not spot on accurate and at times it's a little wonky but overall I enjoy the diversion during the winter and the sound of hitting balls is always pleasant to my ears. Enjoy it!

If I had an area around the house I would get the Opti shot only because of price. You are right it is the diversion that is needed for this winter. Am going to try the Golf Zone this weekend.

Played 18 at the golf zone yesterday. It is new technology for simulators. You could actually putt on this one. Maybe try it again next weekend.

OUrs are the same ones as Golfsmith stores have. Just got the new course upgrades and now have a bunch of TPC courses such as Sawgrass etc... Spent the other night just hitting wedges and knockdown 9 irons to 17. The went to 18 and used it like a driving range. Fun to have the new courses.

Working tomorrow night, probably stay after I close up and play 36.

Got a chance to hit some balls outside, that was fun. Hopefully by next weekend the weather will blow thru and I can do it again.

Bastard...

If we get ONE day in the 50's the ranges are going to look like Filene's basement during the wedding dress sale.

Got a little tired after 3/4 bucket, so we played a game. A green was about 110 out and of course froze. We hit 6 irons and tried to get them to stop on the green. You could land them short and bounce them up but there snow drifts (sand traps) right in front of the green. What a riot.

That's funny, playing it off the snowdrift...

The other night on the sim we had it in practice mode playing the 17th at Sawgrass doing the same thing you were but trying to stop a 4 iron on the green from 137 yards.

I used to do this all the time when I practiced, need to get back to it. I believe it helps your swing.

Saw some weird straw-like hay type of thing under the snow near the edges of my driveway. I looked it up online and someone said it was something called "grass".... :? :o

Hit balls at the range today for the first time since mid November. Over the winter I worked on some iron things and everything meshed. Since my workouts changed in September I noticed over the winter my ball speed was up considerably and it was evident today hitting driver. Nice weather...52 degrees

Tomorrow rain
Thursday bitter cold and snow.
