Anyone out there tried the X Hot Deep? I just bought one online and waiting for delivery as the theory off a deep faced 3 wood sounds good and might be a good goto club off the tee and save the driver. (also tempted as i'm nailing my X Hot Pro irons)

I haven't gotten the chance to play the 3Deep, but I can speak to using a deep faced 3 wood (Alpha V5) as a driver replacement and it has worked fantastically for me! So much so that I haven't played a driver consistently in my bag for 2 years. I also don't have any problem hitting it off the deck and actually am much more confident with my V5 versus my Geek 5W off the deck.

I too have the Alpha V5 three wood. Long off the tee or deck.

Have been playing one the last month or so. It is long and the ball runs a mile. The only trouble I am having is getting some air time. Would like to get some carry out of it. Starting to play with different shafts.

Kan

But you have the cash for these fancy clubs :P
I live in a 3rd world country
Got the club today and it looks pretty, can't wait to try it but it's snowing! Looks more compact than the RBZ so i'm a bit worried.
If that doesn't work plan B turned up today also. A second Xhot Pro 3 iron, going to bend it 3*s more upright, ectend the shaft and turn it into a driving iron :o
I think I've lost my marbles!

I'm still not sold on hybrids and always liked hitting long irons. Not just vanity but my swing and links turf suit irons better.

The Utility isn't really a hybrid. Its more of a glorified driving iron and it is awesome.

Duh, I only do this for customers everyday. It's 10" tipped if you want to hit a draw, 9.5" tipped and 0.5" butt trimmed to hit a fade and leave it as is if you want to hit it long. :bill:
