Well folks, I'm back from the sunny south and am miserable due to the fact that it is -10C with a wind chill of -20C and the roads are terrible: whiteout conditions. Sucks.

However, I got to try out my new Prophets while I was down there. Here is my review: (I'm a man of few words)

LOOKS: What can I say, 9.5/10 (10/10 would have been the black face)

SETUP: Have them shafted with Accra Tour Steel 4.5's, cut to TLT Series 6.

DURABILITY: Hit a 6 iron out of a trap and there were no marks on the sole whatsoever, so I assume they will stand up quite well overall.

PERFORMANCE: After reading some of the comments about these being "players" clubs, I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to hit them very well, since I am about an 18 capper. Summit has done his job well!!! I really had no problem hitting these heads. Address setup is great and they don't look small at the end of the shaft. I am a high ball hitter and this is why I chose to shaft them with the Accras instead of the GS75 shafts I have in my old set. The ball flight was perfect for me. Never got too high. Trajectory was great too. went up then flattened out. I played in some serious wind that I should have had trouble with, but they actually held their line remarkable well. I could actually aim at the green with a 30 mph crosswind and they would mostly find it. Compared to my old set, the new Prophets are more accurate. Distance may be slightly less, but I am not sure because of the wind. This would be expected due to the shaft change.

OVERALL: These are NICE sticks! Kudo's to Jeff and the boys at Hireko for making this head. If you want to try a new club, you won't be disappointed with these whatsoever.

Any questions and I would be glad to answer them.

Lee

They sound like sweet sticks. If I didn't have the Geeks sitting on my desk at this very moment I'd be all over the Prophets. They're the best looking component iron to hit the market in years.

X2!!

I'd love to see some pics of them after a couple of rounds. With dark finishes durability is the #1 question. Ahhh, who am I kidding? I'm buying a set no matter how durable they are.

If I change irons for 2010 these are the leading contender.

They sound great, for some reason I thought that they had a lot higher offset and that deterred me a little bit. Still debating on what irons to get for 2010 - ?. But who knows...

You could always send the Geeks to me in order to free yourself up for the Prophets...

Nice review...how is the "feel" on these irons? do they really feel like blades (even with the "slots") solid and soft or like GIs hollow and hard or clunky?

about offset, I read somewhere that the offset on these are not that much, sort of comparable with other player's irons...is this true?

Let me think about that. I'll get back to you in a few years.

I would compare these in the feel department as blade like without the stinging of a mishit. Solid and when pured, sweeeeeeet. I really had no trouble hitting them. I actually think I hit them better than my CNC Prophets. The shafts help though.
As for offset, to me, I don't see very much at all. IMHO you could do a LOT worse than these, and probably can't do any better, with ANY other components out there. (unless of course you are a true beginner)

Anyone know for sure if these are made for a parallel tip shaft?

I have some shafts I can use to assemble some irons and I was thinking of getting some of these to try.

Also, anyone hit the Prophet Tour and compare that to the CNC forged?

Just took a look at Hireko's website. Parallel tip shaft. .370. They are nice looking iron heads.
